The Meme That Refused to be Written
I've been quite good at avoiding being tagged so far and ya know, considering how late this is, I'll probably never be tagged again. XD Sorry Lori.


1.) How about a brief introduction?
This is Tia who still doesn't have an intro post. |D I've been writing for a long time but somewhat new to the lj scene? ...What goes here anyway?

2.) Fabulous, and what got you into fanfiction to begin with?
Ahaha, I feel old whenever I say this but - Gundam Wing. One of those crazy fandoms that everyone made a pitstop at back in the early internet days that's still(!) going strong. Hot boys in spandex shorts fighting battles in space with giant machines and lots of explosions? Ah man, I was there. Gundam Wing and yaoi/shounen-ai/bl were (is?) pretty much synonymous; what can I say, I have an impressionable mind.

3.) I see. So what kind of fanfiction do you like to write?
First easy question! Angst. I'm a plotless drabbler who can only write horrible things about candid, not-actiony, in-between moments. Am I making any sense here? At the moment, Reborn is my happy place and I neeeever want to leave. :D

4.) Do you find writing easy? Hard? What are the aspects of writing you struggle most with?
No way to the easy bit. I love it but the idea has to hit me at the right velocity and angle and orientation if you know what I mean. Maybe I give my brain too much leeway over what it writes and need to shepherd it in the right direction. If I sit down and say, 'Right! 500 words of 8059 bb,' it's likely to throw in the towel and fleeee.

5.) Write a few sentences or so of your favorite pairing or character.
Back bones digging into the alleyway wall, Gokudera's got his knee shoved there and Yamamoto's choking in the warm leather weight of him, blowing smoky breaths into the sweat of his neck. "Hey, hey." He bats uselessly against Gokudera's jacket, doesn't know where to put his hands to push; their escort slinks past, buffed shoes skidding on the dust of sidewalks, palms on holsters, but they are not the only ones intent on their prey. Gokudera snarls at Yamamoto's half-hearted efforts, fists his bloodied shirt and leans in.

6.) Are there any fanfiction clichés or trends you're sick of or just can't stand?
When ultimateseme!Dino forces himself on weepyuke!Hibari and they go on dates in the park. Kill me now. D:

7.) Are you guilty of any fanfiction clichés you hate? Or any other ones?
Probably. Some of my 8059 is rather mindless. XD OOC maybe? I take huge liberties with quirks, chronology and backstories in general.

8.) What was the first fandom you wrote for, and do you still like/participate in it?
Gundam Wing again. I still like it and dig up the lengthy epics once in awhile but definitely no writing in the forseeable future. It was pretty atrocious. |D

9.) Name your OTPs or most frequently written pairings/characters and explain what it is about them that you love to write.
The thing about OTPs is I have so many you could hardly consider them OTPs. I don't ship any two people together to the exclusion of everyone else and I'm all for free love and mix and match and threesomes and pron and saldkfjasdg not really picky in the sense that I'll read anything. Especially if I fangirl you.

But I'll admit to a huge weakness for well-written Yamamoto/Gokudera, Xanxus/Squalo, Squalo/Dino, Squalo/Yamamoto, Dino/Hibari, Ryohei/Hibari, Mukuro/Hibari, Mukuro/Lancia, Reborn/Lambo and Lussuria/Ryohei. Some of this hardly exists. This one needs to -> Gamma/Gokudera. DON'T SHOOT ME.

There's really only one of these that I write (8059) though I'm slowly branching out; the rest of my stuff is mostly gen. It's the first pairing I fell for in Reborn - spotted almost as soon as they appeared in the same panel together. *shameless*

10.) What would you call your writing style?
Auugh, I really don't know... Dialogue-less, too much description and not enough exposition? XD Usually pseudo-poetic, short, more about the characters and what they're feeling than stuff happening. I worry it's boring but I just can't quit my imagery. ;A;

11.) Do you read other people's fanfic? If so what do you find yourself reading the most?
Reborn fandom is my lifeblood. EXTREME LOVE for my f-list writing buddies: cleartempest, infringe, kill_me_faster, ricordi and templated. Consider yourselves tagged but only if you want. <3

12.) Do you have trouble taking criticism? Or worse yet, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
Both? *stabbed* I like praise (who doesn't?) but I know I'm nowhere near good enough to be considered talented. I don't think I've received criticism before because you people are too nice. |D But I guess I wouldn't mind if it's constructive. Maybe water it down first?

13.) Name one thing you'd LOVE to write, but have been too afraid or shy to do.
PORN. Because what if it isn't hot? D8

14.) When you write, is there anything that helps? Music? A quiet room?
Having the source of inspiration right in front of me. Music, poetry, food... You'd think I'd be plenty inspired but my creative 'zone' so to speak is probably only the size of handkerchief. orz

15.) What inspires you?
Dang, I answered this one above. I should read all the questions first huh?

16.) Lastly, how would you sum up your fanfiction experiences and yourself as a writer?
Smooth sailing all the way baby and wouldn't change it for the world. Except maybe to crank up the productivity factor since my prolificness is fail. \o/

I thought it was about time for a layout change too (why yes, I have the attention span of a fly). Header takes roughly 22 seconds to load but could be worth it? xD
